After graduating from a university in Kyoto, SO went on to study design at another university in Kyoto. In 2006 he started his own company in his hometown of Okayama, leading an elite installation team as both its head and creative director. Since joining Whatever in 2019, he has worked on websites and installations from planning through art direction, focusing on design while also working in illustration, programming, and DTM. His representative works include “Rakugaki AR,” “Shizukana Osouji,” and “GLICODE.” His major awards in Japan and abroad include Cannes Lions, the iF DESIGN AWARD, the Japan Media Arts Festival, and ADC. He is a devoted sumo fan and a great admirer of Chiyonofuji.
