Whatever partnered with Dr. Takanori Takebe, a world-renowned researcher in advanced medicine, to establish Open Medical Lab. This new venture aims to integrate well-being into society by merging medicine with creative expertise. We also led its business planning and branding efforts.
Open Medical Lab (OML) is a novel design firm dedicated to conducting societal experiments and implementations that promote well-being. Established in 2023, its mission is to realize the ‘Enabling City’ concept, which garnered high praise in the Millennia Program, an initiative under the Cabinet Office’s Moonshot Research and Development Program.
Championing a “Happiness-Driven Approach,” OML aims to elevate well-being by addressing not just health but happiness, based on insights from advanced medicine and positive psychology. We offer comprehensive support to various clients from consulting and ideation through to execution, while also working on our own R&D and new services development.
