Genki Toyama

Genki is a Gunma Prefecture-native, born in 1993. He is an alumnus of the Graduate School of Fundamental Science and Engineering, Waseda University, where he studied human augmentation. After graduating, he worked on interactive installations, live event direction, AR apps, and in-house content. He joined Whatever in 2021. As a technical director and programmer, he handles everything from defining requirements to the finest details of implementation, mainly for permanent exhibitions and events. Working across a range of technical fields, he sometimes takes the lead on running projects himself to create new experiences. His awards include Clio Music Gold, ACC Gold, and a Jury Selection at the Japan Media Arts Festival. His goal is to be a technical director who brings together the perspectives of a producer and a creative.
