Shibuya Pilot Film Festival
A pilot film is the raw essence of a movie. It brings a project's vision to life on screen, making it tangible and compelling, and serves as a powerful tool for attracting funding and assembling a team. It is pure, concentrated passion from the filmmakers who create it. On December 14, 2024, we co-hosted a film festival dedicated entirely to pilot films at Shibuya Cine Quinto, in partnership with Chocolate.
The event featured special screenings of rare pilot films spanning classics to upcoming releases, alongside talk sessions with a diverse lineup of speakers who continue to push the boundaries of filmmaking through a wide range of approaches. Every program sold out in advance, generating significant buzz across the film industry and among film fans alike.
