UTA TECHNE
Modern video artists took on the great tunes from the era where no music videos existed

NHK’s “UTA TECHNE” is a spinoff television show of “TECHNE: The Visual Workshop” lead by Creative Director Masashi Kawamura.

The program features six aspiring filmmakers who are given the task of producing music videos for hit Japanese songs of the 60’s and 70’s, a time when music videos didn’t exist. The result was an interesting mix of visual narratives for legends like The Peanuts, Eiichi Ohtaki, and other household names.
