HIME EVOLUTION
In conjunction with the brand renewal of Crunchyroll, the world's largest anime streaming platform, we updated their official mascot character, Hime.
While honoring the character settings, appearance, and story beloved by her existing fans, we refined everything to align with the rebrand, and worked alongside the Crunchyroll team to rebuild her background and world with future expansion in mind.
We established "a fox spirit traveling between the anime world and the human world" as her new official backstory, taking charge of world-building, character design, and story samples built around this concept. We also developed multiple looks and companion characters (Yuzu and Sudachi) for different worlds, laying a durable foundation for the character and her universe.
